Working within the browser (Explorer) environment greatly reduces system complexity without any client side installations. Additional client browsers such as wireless mobile phones & iTV may also be supported. Common Database – NGTOS is powered by a heavy-duty MSSQL2000 central database that provides real-time inventories and data to all remote clients including call centers, travel agents, in-house reservations and operations departments, destination offices, management HQ & financial departments and more. This real-time single inventory approach provides higher utilization of flight allocations, accommodation allotments and other stocks. Advanced SQL procedures and improved global communication speeds increase remote connection performance to an acceptable level parallel to that of local office networks. GDS (CRS) interfacing - NGTOS provides full GDS connectivity over the Web services platform. Capabilities include product availability, pricing (including bulk & net rates), selling, cancellation, rules, flight timetable, powers product compliance and more. DIIF - Dynamic Interactive Internet Front-end – All NGTOS systems are coupled with one or more fully interactive internet front-end that provide online, real time booking of the product which can be combined with GDS driven products and their combinations. While all DIIF may be used to promote and sell all products, the system’s modular design caters for separate branding of each DIIF according to emerging target audiences. When successfully implemented, DIIF is the inevitable winning edge in e-commerce operations. Multilingual Support – All DIIF support multiple language displays for demographic targeting. Once added to the system, user-friendly translation modules allow entry of translated text, location names, airline names etc. Dynamic Packaging With GDS Integration – Long since regarded as a complex technological benchmark in online travel sales, Dynamic Packaging is a standard feature of the NGTOS. As such, the system caters for the creation of multiple travel products that are based on both in-house database inventories and GDS product & pricing components to create a single seamless product. These products may be either pre-packaged in the Back-office and released for sale on multiple DIIF, or may be constructed online by the end user by collecting various components in wizard like environment. For the creation of pre-packed packages, the Back office Product Creation Wizard enables complete control of each individual components pricing and bundling. For the online specification of freestyle FIT itineraries, the Back office system provides an FIT Margin Administrator that allows specific pricing of each component when included in a larger holiday package. Departures may be based on either predetermined schedules or real-time GDS availabilities. A Back office Specials Wizard allows selection of various promotion packages to be included in an optionally highlighted Specials front-end menu. Merchant Model Margin Administrators – In compliance with recent industry changes whereby agent commissions are disappearing and Merchant Model mark-ups are taking their place, NGTOS offers a wide range of Margin Administrators that enable precise mark-ups on Net Rates provided by suppliers (e.g. airlines). Unlike other systems & companies that do not yet support this new business approach, Vinet America has been implementing such administrators as a standard practice in its NG range of products. Multi-currency capability enables all costs and sales to be calculated, monitored and displayed in several different currencies at the same time for the same products. Multi-lingual support with user-friendly translation modules assist in demographic targeting. This feature enables the same site and screens to be seen and used with several different languages. Reporting and Finance – A library of financial, statistical and analytical reports are available. The Report wizard offers the flexibility of user defined report creation. On-Location Hosting – Both application and database servers are installed at customer premises. In most cases this is done at ISP server farm or customer in-house server room. Operations – Enhanced reservation modules enable the creation and modification of complex bookings including all product types and their combinations.
